Bathing spots in Vaucluse
If you fancy a spot of bathing, Vaucluse has an abundance of man-made lakes both with and without amenities, supervised and unsupervised. When you go out for a walk, don’t forget to take your bathing suit! There are numerous man-made and natural lakes in the region perfect for a refreshing stop on a scorching summer’s day.
About ten kilometres from Les Fontaines campsite, the Monteux lake provides an ideal spot for a refreshing dip. The beach has lifeguards, a fee-paying carpark is available and you can hire paddle boards or pedalos. Persons with limited mobility and children in pushchairs will love the educational trail along the lake. A little bit further away, you’ll find the man-made Lake Salettes, situated in Mormoiron at the foot of Mont Ventoux, which has a sandy beach bordered by pine trees and offers a variety of activities, including the thrilling zip line course.
While you are out and about, keep an eye out for the little streams where the water is generally very pure. Vaucluse therefore has numerous bathing spots to discover while you out walking.
